It`s been six weeks since Dudsey took in a game, for sure all fixtures have to be played so no doubt it will be catch-up time for the unforeseeable future.
Pre-match 'Pie and Peas' and an half time 'Mug of Tea' accompanied by a Kit-Kat seem like a distant memory but I`d sooner be doing it when I can feel my toes.
With two draws in their last two league fixtures and a couple encouraging friendlies against a Mansfield Town XI which ended 1-1 and a more impressive 3-2 win against Matlock Town, Kev Gee will be looking to cement Rainworth`s Evo-Stik status for next season.
Ironically Saturdays opponents..'Romulus' haven`t missed a single game thanks to the 3G pitch at Coles Lane, admittedly they have lost on their last three outings but none-the-less they will have a distinct advantage with regards to 'match fitness'.
Coles Lane, "All weather entertainment"
I`m not too sure where I stand in the 3G surface debate, but it sure keeps the ball rolling when the weather takes a turn for the worse.
So fingers crossed, it will be back to business on Saturday, gone will be the second half flood-lights and the poor camera shots due to bad light and hopefully a tad warmer.
Unfortunately I won`t be able to take in Rainworth`s home fixture against Romulus due to a re-scheduled later kick-off for Shirebrook Rangers U16`s plus we have early evening commitments to fulfill.
Back Soon...Hopefully!!
